Note di degustazione
Produced by the team from Laroque, the 2020 Peymouton offers up aromas of sweet cherries, baked berry fruit, rose petals and kirsch. Medium to full-bodied, its fleshy core of fruit is framed by lively acids and youthfully chewy tannins.

Attractive aromas of plums and chocolate with some hazelnut. Dusty undertones. Medium-bodied with fine and polished tannins and a succulent finish. Hints of orange peel at the end. Drinkable, but better in 2024.
The 2020 Château Peymouton is based on 79% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon, all from a 31-hectare parcel of deep red clay soils. It has a healthy ruby/purple hue as well as good complexity in its ripe cherry and redcurrant fruits and notes of cedarwood, green herbs, and tobacco leaf. It's nicely balanced, medium to full-bodied, has ripe tannins, and solid length on the finish.
The 2020 Peymouton has held onto its distinctive precocious nose with ebullient kirsch and blood orange scents that burst from the glass. The palate is a little more "strict" in style, fresh with that blood orange leitmotif continuing. Spicier than I found out of barrel with a harmonious, lively, easygoing and accessible finish. Perfect for drinking over the next decade.
