Note di degustazione
The 2018 Trianon has an intense nose of blackberry and bilberry scents, pressed violets and touches of marmalade developing with time. The oak is nicely integrated here. The palate is medium-bodied with a granular texture, quite firm tannins and a finish that’s just a little too dry for my liking. Still, it has a pleasant gamy quality that I appreciate.

The 2018 Château Trianon sports a dense purple/plum color as well as a classic Saint-Emilion, mineral-laced bouquet of ripe black cherries, currants, chalk, chocolate, and dried herbs. Medium-bodied and nicely concentrated, with both ripe tannins and nicely integrated acidity, it's going to benefit from 3-4 years in the cellar and impress for a decade. The blend is 80% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon and Carménère.
The 2018 Trianon is a potent, virile wine, just as it was in barrel. Succulent red cherry, cedar, plum, iron, spice and tobacco all power through in a dense, packed Saint-Émilion. The 2018 needs a few years to unwind. There is quite a bit of tannin lurking beneath all the fruit. This is a pretty rustic style, all things considered.
