Bright, moderately saturated medium red. A touch of reduction to the pure but withdrawn aromas and flavors of wild strawberry, flowers and spices. Bigger, richer and sweeter than the Clos Saint-Denis, showing a captivating sappy ripeness and serious concentration. The wine's rocky minerality really clamps down on the finish, with the horizontal, integrated tannins spreading out to saturate the mouth and front teeth. Quite powerful but an infant today, with all the elements for long-term aging.

(60% vendange entier ): Bright, dark red. Very ripe aromas of musky black raspberry and meat showed a floral element with air. Rich and tactile but a bit youthfully stunted, conveying a restrained sweetness to its flavors of dark fruits and spices. Most impressive today on the juicy, long, rising finish, where the tannins are nicely supported by the wine's material. I like the slight positive vegetility and spice character that no doubt comes from the stems. Very different in style from the more floral, perfumed Clos-Saint-Denis, and perhaps a bit longer.
