Note di degustazione
Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2011 horizontal tasting in Beaune, the 2011 Chambertin has a very attractive bouquet with vibrant red cherries, fresh strawberry and minerals. It is open and generous, although there is a touch of greenness that appears with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with sharp acidity and what feels like an incongruous balsamic note infusing the red fruit, but poking out on the finish that ten minutes later, loses some of its initial vigor.

Lots of cherry fruit. Dense, compact, firm. Promising, just enough freshness. Just a little bit heavy at the end. (JH)
