Note di degustazione
The 2020 Cambon La Pelouse has a touch of over-ripeness on the nose at the expense of the detail of some of its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with sapid black fruit. It shows more finesse than the aromatics with a zesty, quite focused and tensile finish. If the nose can improve, this will certainly deserve a higher score.

Owned by Treasury Wine Estates since 2019, this is an excellent property, and it is performing strongly in 2020. Ripe tannins, well worked with some lovely liqourice, cherry, black chocolate, tea and damson notes. Good quality, a little tight still, should go for a good 10-15 years but no need to wait too long to begin drinking, bright acidities.
50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot. Purple-crimson hue. Attractive fruit but overlaid by toasted, even slightly charry oak. Juicy on the palate but those dry oak tannins sit in as well. Fingers crossed the oak integrates. (JL)
