Note di degustazione
Tasted at the Comte Liger-Belair vertical at the Château de Vosne. The 2011 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Brûlées is a worthy follow-up to the 2010 and should not be overlooked. Reticent at first, it only takes two or three swirls of the glass and bingo! Lush red cherries, pomegranate and mineral notes emerge, later a faint scent of blueberry. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin and acidity, very good tension and a gradual, insistent build toward that fiery finish. This is a superb 2011 Les Brûlées. Tasted June 2015.

Bright red stone fruits, iron, incense, smoke and slate all take shape in the glass as the 2011 Vosne-Romanée Les Brulées takes shape in the glass. The Brulées is the most tightly wound of the Vosne 1er Crus today. A dollop of whole clusters adds an exotic savory dimension that is striking, not to mention highly appealing. Black cherries, plums, menthol and rosemary linger on the expressive finish.
(18% vendange entier): Good deep, full red. Initially brooding nose opens with air to show musky raspberry, chocolate and Oriental spices. Supple and compellingly sweet, with terrific drive to its sappy raspberry and crushed stone flavors. Long, bright, palate-coating finish showcases the tension provided by limestone soil.
