The 2015 Le Crock is a pleasant, fruity Saint-Estèphe to drink now and over the next few years. Inky blue/purplish fruit, spice and lavender notes are nicely pushed forward in this very pretty, succulent wine. Plush fruit, soft, silky tannins and mid-weight structure are the signatures. The 2015 has turned out nicely. Le Crock is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 7% Petit Verdot.

The 2015 le Crock has a plums, cherries and mulberries-scented nose with earth and herbs notions. The medium-bodied palate is chewy with surprisingly good fruit intensity and an earthy finish.
The 2015 Château Le Crock offers a firm, focused, concentrated style that lacks a touch of charm. Black cherries, scorched earth, spice and leathery notes all emerge from this Saint-Estèphe that will benefit from a year or two of bottle age.
45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc. Unusually dark, sleek crimson. Fresh, appealing, almost floral nose. Very luscious. Very Rolland! Not the most typical wine of this appellation – not nearly austere enough – but good delivery of pleasure. Though the oak is a bit obvious for now. (JR)
