This wine appears to be at an awkward stage, with the oak dominating its personality. Additionally, the tannin is dry. However, there is a healthy, saturated ruby/purple color, good weight, and plenty of structure and richness. The wood must become better integrated if this wine is to achieve harmony among its diverse component parts. Judgment reserved.
