Note di degustazione
The 2019 Pinot Noir Amity Hills offers cherry cola, lavender, spiced orange rinds and hints of cedar on the highly expressive nose. It is a wine of energy, finesse and ripe red fruits, with a core of juicy acidity and crunchy minerality that dazzles the senses. It’s long and lightly structured through the rose-tinged finale and slowly fading hints of licorice. The Amity Hills hails from the Stone Creek vineyard at around 450 feet in elevation, in a valley surrounded by forest on both sides.

This will be the last vintage of this cuvée, since plans moving forward are to include this and the Chehalem Highlands into an appellation-designated entry wine. The 2019 Pinot Noir Amity Hills pours a deep red and is lifted with aromas of cranberry cocktail, fresh cinnamon, and crushed roses. Medium-bodied and energetic, with ripe tannins and bright acidity, it has good tension throughout and warming spice on the finish. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
Dubay vineyard. The highest-density plantings that Rose & Arrow source from. Pale ruby in colour. The nose has lift and notes of wood, roses, moist earth and sweet red cherry. The palate is well balanced but not as viscous and textural as the rest of the portfolio. You can feel the oak texture at the end. Long finish. (SCJ)
