Note di degustazione
The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Village from Maison Drouhin has turned out very nicely, offering up an inviting bouquet of ripe cherries, plums, smoked meats and dried flowers. Medium-bodied, rich and fleshy, it's open and giving, built around melting tannins and succulent acids.

The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has an easygoing bouquet of cranberry, raspberry, sous-bois and light tobacco aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, rounded and caressing in texture. It is not the most complex Gevrey Village you will taste, but it is well balanced with a welcome touch of spice enlivening the modest finish. Enjoy over the next five years.
Cask sample. Mid cherry red. Dark-red and slightly dusty. So much darker fruited than the Chambolle just tasted. Dark cherry fruit, ripe and dense with a long savoury finish. More muscular than the Chambolle but still remarkably smooth in texture. (JH)
