Note di degustazione
The 2021 Old Vine Series Mev Kirsten shows surprising depth with bright citrus and a pristine focus that is initially linear but gives way to a lively and fresh expression that overflows from the glass. Medium-bodied, the wine continues to gain complexity across the mid-palate and uncoils in the mouth like a champion. The longer the wine sits on the palate, it reveals its subtleties and secrets before growing in amplitude and precision over the lively and energetic finish. Bravo!

The 2021 Mev. Kirsten is pure Chenin Blanc from Stellenbosch. It has an expressive, slightly slatey in style, gaining intensity with aeration, hints of broom. The palate is beautifully balanced and poised, very mineral-driven, tensile and steely with just a hint of orange rind on the chiselled finish. Don't think about opening a bottle for a decade (even though you will).
Informazioni sul produttore

Since he started making wine under his own name in 2000, Eben Sadie became a cult name in South Africa. The Swartland producer is best known for his flagship Columella and Palladius, but he also makes a range of whites and reds under the Old Vine Series, which became the District Series in 2025.
