A touch of reduction on the nose here, needs to be swirled in the glass and ideally given some air through a carafe. Enjoyable, emphasis on dark bilberry and blueberry fruits, a touch too much smoky bacon and cloves from oak influence that has not yet fully integrated, but as it opens everything softens and comes together, and we are yet again in classic slighlty old school but thoroughly enjoyable St Estèphe territory. Tight on the finish.
