The 2020 Soave Classico Otto bursts from the glass mixing crushed stone with masses of ripe orchard fruits, zests of lime and dusty florals. It’s minerally intense and sharply focused with penetrating citrus tenson and a steely streak. There’s a salty flourish that goes on and on, leaving the palate aching with residual tension. The Otto is from a mix of vineyards within the classico region, all planted in volcanic soils.

Nicely balanced and very tasty white with aromas and flavors of lemon, pineapple and peach. Creamy mineral notes and a tinge of herb, too. Medium-bodied with a fresh, relaxed feel and a pleasant, lemon-cream and pineapple finish. Very refined feel. Drink now. Screw cap.
