Note di degustazione
The 2020 Clos Marsalette Blanc is a richer, concentrated, medium to full-bodied white with tons to love. Honeyed grapefruit, pineapple, and some toasty, chalky notes all emerge on the nose, and it has the balance, freshness, and concentration to shine for 5-7 years, if not longer.

The 2020 Clos Marsalette Blanc was tasted twice, I felt the first bottle, poured at the château, was out of shape. The second is fresher on the nose with crisp Granny Smith apples, pear and hints of orange blossom. The palate is well-balanced with a fine thread of acidity. Not complex and maybe just missing a bit of nuance on the finish. However, there is fine weight here, and it should drink well for 8-10 years.
The 2020 Clos Marsalette Blanc is bright and focused, with lovely depth and fine balance. Tangerine peel, chamomile, apricot and light tropical overtones all grace this 60% Sauvignon Blanc/40% Sémillon blend. This is an unusually deep, textured white, with an almost phenolic quality, the result of frosts that lowered production dramatically and a decision to also press a bit harder. This is far from an easygoing white. Drink it at the dinner table.
The 2020 Clos Marsalette Blanc is an attractive, charming white that nicely balances the richness of the vintage with a good bit of energy to keep things in check. Lemon confit, white flowers, marzipan, spice and a touch of oak all meld together effortlessly. This suave, open-knit dry white is a delight to taste today. It will drink well upon release.
