Note di degustazione
The 2021 Clos Marsalette Blanc is gorgeous stuff, with a terrific mineral component as well honeyed citrus and grapefruit notes, some earthy, almost truffly notes, medium body, beautiful purity, and a great finish. This complex, layered, vibrant white will evolve and drink nicely for a decade.

The 2021 Clos Marsalette Blanc has a crisp nose with the same orchard fruit that I found out of barrel, albeit with less of the grass clippings. There’s commendable purity here. The palate is well-balanced with chamomile and toffee apple on the entry, possessing fine acidity and perhaps missing some length, but it will drink nicely for four to five years.
The 2021 Clos Marsalette Blanc is a pretty, open-knit white to drink now and over the next handful of years. Hints of tangerine oil, mint, white flowers and marzipan all grace this expressive, inviting dry white. Pretty tropical notes linger.
The 2021 Clos Marsalette Blanc was picked September 14–15 and matured in 25% new oak. It has a well-defined nose of orchard fruit and light grass clipping scents. The palate is fresh on the entry, offering Conference pear and gooseberry, fine depth, and good extract on the finish. Give it just a year in bottle.
