Cask sample. Mid crimson. Gorgeously sweet red-fruited scent – perfumed and seductive. Sweet on the palate too, with the impression of sweet oak. Extremely smooth tannins slide across the palate. Long and fresh – very long in fact. Just a slight sourness on the finish but it adds to the freshness overall. (JH)

The 2021 Vosne-Romanée Village is a blend of four parcels, cropped at 36hL/ha and matured in one-third new oak. It has a perfumed bouquet with wilted violets infusing the red berry fruit. The palate has a sense of brightness on the entry, hints of confit strawberry, just a very light marine note with a finely-structured, lightly-spiced, bitter cherry finish. This will be difficult to resist young.
The 2021 Vosne-Romanée Village is pure and crystalline, exhibiting scents of sweet raspberries, petals and spices, framed by a deft touch of new oak. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and bright, it's fine-boned and elegant, concluding with a persistent, mouthwateringly saline finish.
Cask sample. Lively, fresh crimson-fruited wine with real energy and pizzazz. (JR)
