Note di degustazione
Vivid ruby. Assertively perfumed aromas of red berry preserves, Asian spices and potpourri develop a vibrant mineral quality in the glass. Fresh and sharply focused on the palate, offering concentrated black raspberry and lavender pastille flavors that show outstanding clarity and power. Closes sweet, spicy and extremely long, with sneaky tannins adding shape and grip. There's an almost Vosne-like elegance to this wine that I find compelling.

The 2013 Châteauneuf du Pape, a blend of 85% Grenache, 5% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre and 5% Vaccarese, is perfumed and classic on the nose and possesses lots of berry fruits, flowers, lavender and big minerality. Medium-bodied, focused, straight and closed, with the tannin front and center at this stage, it needs 2-3 years in the cellar, and will have 10-12 years of overall longevity. As with the 2014, the fruit/tannin balance will be something to watch here.
Brilliant violet color. Fresh redcurrant and cherry on the seductively perfumed nose, with a smoky mineral quality adding lift and focus. Concentrated cherry, raspberry and lavender pastille flavors display very good vivacity thanks to juicy acidity. Aeration brings up deeper black raspberry and licorice notes that carry through a strikingly persistent, focused, youthfully tannic finish.
