The 2019 Pinot Noir Bohan Vineyard is another incredibly savory, complex wine from Kutch that has ample character. Meaty black cherries, savory herbs, saddle leather, and loamy earth are just some of the nuances here, and it's a more medium-bodied, focused, elegant wine that will benefit from a year or three of bottle age and cruise for a decade.

Dry-farmed, own-rooted old vines in a vineyard at 1,400 feet, 2.95 miles from the ocean. 75% whole cluster. Aged for 15 months in used French oak. Just 200 cases produced. Very transparent garnet. Light, sweet and charming. Reminds me so strongly of a fine Volnay. Beautiful balance. Racy, lively and pure. Delicate and long. Delicious. (JR)
The 2019 Pinot Noir Bohan Vineyard impresses for its translucent, mid-weight personality. This is an especially fragrant, savory style. Dried cherry, mint, sweet spice and new leather are all finely woven together in an understated, classy Pinot that is all nuance. Bright, saline notes linger on the finish that is a bit fleeting. I would drink the 2019 on the earlier side.
