Note di degustazione
Bright, dark red. Deep, inviting aromas of red raspberry, minerals and flavors complicated by an element of noble vegetility. Juicy and penetrating in the mouth, conveying terrific sappy intensity and lift to its crunchy red fruit, floral and mineral flavors. Still youthfully linear but already hinting at the glories to come. The most sophisticated of these 2013s to this point.

There is a paltry 1½ barrels of the 2013 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Reignots this year (my sample a blend of the two.) It has a deeper color than the Beaumonts '13, the nose more complex with dark berries, briary, more mineral tones emerging in the glass. The palate is very smooth, the wood more pronounced than the other premier crus at the moment with a dense, lightly spiced finish that lingers long in the mouth. This vineyard is always a little "bolshie" out of barrel but it has the substance to repay cellaring.
