Note di degustazione
The 2017 Echézeaux Les Treux Grand Cru has a pretty, charming bouquet of ebullient red cherries and strawberry fruit, quite floral in style and well-defined. The well-balanced palate shows fine-grained tannins and well-judged acidity, lending this more freshness than its peers. Crisp and tensile on the finish. This is an excellent wine from Guillaume Tardy. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting.

The 2017 Echézeaux Les Treux Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru offers blackberry, raspberry, cold black tea and blood orange scents on the focused, delineated nose, which gains intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chalky tannins. Full of tension from the start, revealing a tangible edginess that takes over toward the finish. Quite long in the mouth. An Echezeaux with lots of potential.
The 2017 Echézeaux Les Treux Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru comes from a parcel of 80-year-old vines. It has a perfumed bouquet with scents of cassis, blueberry, violets and just a hint of honey. The palate is medium-bodied but dense and quite weighty in the mouth. This feels quite rigid at the moment, simply because it has not been racked. It will loosen up by the time of bottling and there is undoubtedly good fruit intensity and plenty of freshness here.
