Note di degustazione
The 2020 Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru has an attractive, lively bouquet with predominantly red fruit laced with forest floor and tarry notes. It's a touch reductive at the moment, but it opens nicely in the glass. The palate is well-balanced and fleshy, but it lacks complexity and feels a little anonymous towards the finish. This is a perfectly fine Corton but has less to say than the best. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

Rich purple, perhaps not quite so dense. Ripe strawberry with some floral rose notes in a concentrated register, then an explosion of blackcurrant, blackberry and some fresher red berry notes as well on the palate, soft and liquid, though the alcohol is showing, at 15%. Tasted: October 2021
Cask sample. Plenty of wood but there is the concentration of fruit to soak this up over the next few years. Good purity, fine tannin/acid balance. Expensive for Corton-Les Bressandes but delivers. (AWH)
