The 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon Bin 407 displays a saturated ruby/purple color as well as classic aromas of cedar and cassis, medium to full body, considerable fruit, sweet tannin, and adequate acidity. Saturated bright deep ruby. Initially reticent nose opened to reveal dark berries, bitter chocolate and game. Fat, fruity and pliant, but less focused than the Bin 707. Bright flavors of dark berries. Finishes with good length, but today the wine acids and tannins have not yet harmonized.
