2014 Guibot La Fourvieille

The 2014 Guibot la Fourvielle felt a little overdone on the fig-like, black prune-scented bouquet, maybe just picked a couple of days tardy. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, plenty of sweet red cherry fruit, but it needs more tension and energy on the finish. I was expecting a little more given the positive showing in barrel.
