2000 Dominio de Atauta

(mostly from ungrafted vines planted in the second half of the 19th century) Full ruby-red. Rather cool aromas of blackberry, dusty violet and bitter chocolate. Fat and creamy, with strawberry and fresh herbal flavors and some edgy acidity. Then finishes with slightly dry tannins. Shows plenty of personality. The first vintage for this new producer.
