Note di degustazione
While there was no Les Gallimardes in 2012 due to poor yields, the classic 2012 Chateauneuf Du Pape from this terrific estate is another winner. Lots of sweet red and black fruits, new leather, and bouquet garni notes emerge from the glass, and it’s medium-bodied, has good concentration, and a Provençal, complex, layered style. Drink it over the coming decade.

Vivid ruby. Fresh raspberry, cherry and potpourri aromas are sharpened by a peppery nuance. Fleshy, broad and seamless, offering juicy red fruit flavors and a hint of candied lavender. Shows very good depth, breadth and power on the clinging finish, with a hint of garrigue coming on late.
More serious than the Premices, the 2012 Châteauneuf du Pape Tradition has additional structure and depth, with classic red and black fruits, leather, bouquet garni and spice aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied, nicely concentrated and layered, it has the house purity and texture while staying firmly grounded in the Southern Rhône.
