Note di degustazione
The 2022 G d’Estournel (formerly known as Goulée by Cos d’Estournel), is a powerul, aromatic Haut-Médoc. A blend of 67% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3.6% Cabernet Franc and 0.4% Petit Verdot, it is very expressive with an opulent nose of black cherry, liquorice and gingerbread. Powerful and muscular, this is a bold wine and will improve with time.

Aged a year in barrel and 67% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, the 2022 G D'Estournel is a hidden little gem in the vintage that offers loads of character. Black cherries, saddle leather, spicy flowers, and savory herb notes all shine in this charming, delicious, medium-bodied Médoc, which has a round, supple mouthfeel and a great finish. It will drink nicely over the coming decade.
The 2022 G d'Estournel retains the black cherry and cassis scents on the nose. It's quite rich and opulent, though there is no sense of sur-maturité . The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet core of licorice-tinged black fruit, though I find the tannins just a little rough on the finish. Give it a couple of years in bottle.
