The 2022 La Louvière Blanc has quite a lifted bouquet with vanilla pod and white flowers, but after a couple of minutes it feels a bit diffuse. The palate is tangy on the entry with sharp acidity, quite spicy, but the finish just misses the precision I found a few months ago. Tasted blind at the Southwold tasting in London.

More vibrant and lively than during the en primeur tasting, the 2022 La Louvière Blanc offers up aromas of lemongrass, pear, ripe orchard fruits and menthol. Moderately weighted and gently incisive, it's sappy and energetic with a long, mouthwatering finish.
A vibrant and racy white, the 2022 Château La Louvière Blanc offers ripe lemon, melon, mint, and grassy herb notes. Bright and juicy on the palate, it has an interesting mix of richness and freshness, making for a lively and enjoyable wine. 1,500 cases produced.
The 2022 La Louvière Blanc, which I did not taste at primeur for some reason, has an open, quite refreshing nose with grapefruit, lychee and pineapple scents. The palate is fresh on the entry and not as complex as its peers, but it has an attractive texture with hints of toffee apple and mango on the finish. Fine.

Wine has been made at this estate since the 1300s, but its modern history begins when the Lurton family purchased it in 1965. The property was in disrepair, but the Lurtons have restored the château, winery and vineyards.
