Note di degustazione
The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Boudots 1er Cru has a well-defined bouquet, a mixture of red and black fruit, just a little oak to be subsumed. The palate is medium-bodied with (again), quite an oaky entry, pastille-like with fine tannins. Maybe it is missing a little tension on the finish, otherwise, this represents a very decent and quite delicious 2018 Nuit Saint-Georges. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 red tasting.

The 2018 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Boudots wafts from the glass with aromas of sweet spices, berry fruit, rich soil tones, rose petals and orange rind. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and textural, it's broad and charming, with ripe tannins, succulent acids and an expansive finish.
The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Boudots 1er Cru is one of two crus that exceeded 14% in alcohol this year. The nose is ravishing and opulent, perhaps just a little too rich for my liking, compared to its peers. The medium-bodied palate offers succulent tannins, a fine bead of acidity and black cherries, marmalade and touches of spicebox toward the grippy finish. Hopefully it will calm down a bit by the time of bottling.
