Note di degustazione
Notes of peach, pear and spring blossoms preface the 2022 Blanc from Les Charmes-Godard, a moderately weighted, enrobing and elegant wine with a fresh mid-palate, bright acids and a saline, mouthwatering finish.

Built mostly around Semillon, the 2022 Château Les Charmes-Godard Blanc is a blend of 60% Semillon, 27% Sauvignon Blanc, and the rest Sauvignon Gris. Its medium gold hue is followed by a gorgeous array of stone fruits, honeyed flowers, mint, and crushed stone-like minerality. It's beautifully balanced, medium-bodied, has solid concentration, and a great finish.
Already in bottle, the 2022 Les Charmes-Godard Blanc is a blend of 60% Sémillon, 27% Sauvignon Blanc, and 13% Sauvignon Gris. Delicate notes of honeysuckle, lemongrass, and oyster shell waft form the glass over a core of Golden Delicious apples and fresh Bosc pears. Light to medium-bodied, the palate is soft spoken and elegant with lovely freshness and a mineral laced finish. Coming predominately from limestone-clay soils, the wine was fermented in 500-liter barrels (all used oak) and aged on lees for 6-months.

Nicolas Thienpont purchased this estate in the Côte des Francs in 1988. Largely producing white wine, there is a high percentage of Semillon (60%) with 25% Sauvignon Gris and 15% Sauvignon Blanc. Fermented in 500-litre oak and spending six months on lees, this is an impressive, textured white wine.
