Note di degustazione
Medium weight wine with a gentle, subtle appeal, the 2022 Enclos Tourmaline is very red-fruited on the palate, with Alpine strawberry, cranberry and redcurrant, all supported by very refreshing acidity and supple, fine-grained tannins. A hint of spice and dark chocolate comes from élevage in 100% new oak. Blend: 95% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc

The 2022 Enclos Tourmaline conveys a sense of coolness on the nose, well defined with black plum and just a touch of wild mint. The palate is medium-bodied with a smooth entry and fine acidity, although it does not quite deliver the complexity implied by the aromatics. There is a little austerity on the finish, yet it feels harmonious and focused. Tasted blind at the Southwold tasting in London.
Tiny production. Tasted blind. Bright concentrated crimson. Rich and focused on the nose. Curranty and lively. Lots of energy. (JR)
Entirely crafted from Merlot situated between Le Pin and Trotanoy, the 2022 Enclos Tourmaline is a notable success this year. Wafting from the glass with aromas of dark cherries, flowers, iris and cassis, the wine is medium to full-bodied, concentrated, dense, layered and structured. Introverted and slightly austere and possessing a fleshy core of fruit and a long, racy finish, it will require some patience.
