2022 Clos Floridene Blanc

Note di degustazione
Readers will know that I am a fan of Clos Floridène Blanc, particularly in cool growing seasons such as 2021. However, the 2022 is clearly hampered by the warmth that summer. It has a simple nose that lacks vitality and tension. It's not flat, but it feels rather anonymous aromatically. The palate has respectable weight but needs more complexity. There is a pleasant oily texture and it finishes nicely with orange pith and apricot. It's a good white Graves but not in the top league.

Lemon zest and green apples with discreet guava and minerals on the nose. Bone-dry and succulent on the palate with medium body and a bone-dry, mineral finish. A lovely, gastronomic Graves Blanc. Drink now.
Zesty lemons, green apples and flowers with a hint of spice sticks with you due to all of its freshness on the mid-palate and finish. Drink from 2024-2028. 91-91 Pts.
Gorgeous aromatics, this has focus and lift, and I love the clarity of citrus and pink grapefruit on the opening. Carefully balanced, with grip and slate freshness tasted out of the heat of the year. Lovely stuff from the Dubourdieu family.
