2018 Nuits St Georges Les Corvees Pagets

The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Corvées Pagets 1er Cru is matured in 40% new oak with no whole bunch. I find the nose a little muddled compared to some of the other Premier Crus. The palate is better: quite elegant, with black pepper and thyme infusing the red berry fruit, and demonstrating commendable delineation on the finish. Hopefully the nose will improve by the time of bottling.
