Note di degustazione
This is one of the few vineyards still located in the suburb of Merignac, not far from Bordeaux’s ever-expanding airport. A good effort, the 2003 possesses considerable quantities of underbrush, spicy red and black currants, cedar, herbs, and subtle smoke. Soft, medium-bodied, and complex, this evolved, friendly Graves can be enjoyed over the next 5-6 years.

Very dark crimson. Sweet and soft. No structure. A bit too ripe and lacking depth. (JR)
Reddish crimson. Very light, almost like red wine on the nose. Yes – simple red wine on the palate. Tannins reasonably well managed and none of the excesses of the least attractive right bank wines but it's difficult to sell this as something with real energy and excitement. A little bit tiring even to taste, let alone drink! Old tea finish. (JR)

Neighbouring Haut-Brion and Pape Clément, this estate has been turned around since Paulin Calvet took over in 2007. Working with the legendary late Denis Dubourdieu and Valérie Lavigne, results have been impressive.
