Note di degustazione
Over the past few years, de Candale has been improving and 2020 continues that trend. Medium-bodied, soft, silky and vibrant, the elegant, supple-texture wine leaves you with a sweet layer of black cherries with a touch of spice in the endnote. Drink from 2023-2038.

Up with the 2018 in terms of quality, the 2020 Château De Candale checks in as 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc that was raised in 35% new French oak. This spicy, loamy earth, and red and black-fruited Saint-Emilion has medium to full-bodied richness, good mid-palate concentration, ripe, building tannins, and a great finish. It shows the classic, nicely structured style of this vintage beautifully. Give it just 2-3 years and enjoy over the following 10-15.
The 2020 de Candale is a rich, sumptuous wine. Black cherry, plum, chocolate, spice, leather and blood orange all meld together seamlessly in this exotic, beautifully racy Saint-Émilion. Bright floral top notes lift the finish. Plush contours and silky, polished tannins add to its considerable appeal. What a gorgeous wine this is.
From a 13.8-hectare vineyard on the limestone slopes that's in organic conversion, the 2020 Candale offers up aromas of cherries, sweet berries, loamy soil and a discreet touch of toasty new oak. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, it's seamless and charming, concluding with a saline finish.
