Punteggio 91/100 · Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider, Mar 2023

Cherries, dried flowers, savory herbs, and currants create the core of this medium-bodied charmer. Fresh and polished, with ample, sweet, red fruits, soft-textures and loads of red pit fruits with a touch of chalk in the endnote. This is a superb example of a Bordeaux value wine. Drink from 2023-2035.

The 2020 Larrivaux has a very nicely composed nose: blackberry, sous-bois , light pencil box scents, focused and refined. The palate is medium-bodied with graphite-infused black fruit. Just a little rigid at the moment, yet fresh and saline with an attractive graphite infused finish. This has kicked on nicely, but afford it a couple of years in bottle.

A refined and polished 2020 with lovely currant, chocolate, bark, and wet earth aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied with ultra-fine tannins and a pretty finish. Needs time to open. Try in 2025.

Young and unevolved, the 2020 Château Larrivaux offers up lots of jammy blue fruits to go with medium-bodied richness, a forward, mouth-filling texture, a good sense of freshness, and attractive notes of violets and tobacco.
