Note di degustazione
The 2019 Chevalier de Lascombes is a rich, heady wine to drink now and over the next handful of years. Ripe black cherry, plum, spice, chocolate and tobacco are dialed up. This is an especially flamboyant style, but it works well.

Powerful, concentrated and textured black cherry, cassis and blueberry fruits, laden with black truffle, cocoa bean and liquorice root. Reduction on the first nose gives a gunsmoke edge, this is full of personality and opens to show fresh acidities and finessed tannins. Such a good vintage at this estate, one to cellar for a good few years and then luxuriate in when its ready. 40hl/h.
Pretty violets and roses on the nose with sweet blackcurrant fruit—delicate and approachable. There’s density and plushness here, the tannins are quite ripe and make their presence known. This has a fairly serious, spicy core; liquorice attacks the mid‑palate and lingers into the long finish. Bramble fruit, a juicy initial impact then quite dense, dry tannins. A perfumed quality to the fruit. Needs time.
