Medium-bodied, soft, forward, early drinking charmer with no hard edges, just plenty of ripe, sweet, red fruits from start to finish. You can drink this on release.

Cru bourgeois supérieur. 47% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot. Production: 900,000 bottles/year. Already quite expressive with fresh, fruity notes. Smooth, round and juicy on the palate with finely honed tannins. Competent and complete. Good effort considering the volume produced. (JL)
47% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot. Barrel sample. Deep crimson. Well-integrated and quite evolved nose. Lots of energy here. Quite impressive in view of the quantity made. Finishes very dry but not drying. Good balance – enough fruit for the tannin. Very representative of the vintage. I prefer this to their Larose Perganson. (JR)
