Lively, round and mellow – very well mannered. Nice freshness. Still quite youthful but vigorous and well mannered. No-one could object to this… (JR)

From a property that seems to be improving, the dark ruby/purple-tinged 2001 offers copious amounts of cedar, spice box, black currant, and forest floor scents in its distinctively earthy personality. While delicate, it reveals cunning power underneath the subtle flavors. Medium-bodied and moderately tannic, it should be at its best between 2006-2014.
Very dark red. Very little nose but juicy, if rather simple, fruit on the palate. Very furry tannins. (JR)
Rauzan Gassies – Very, very deep. Green on top of the nose. Brutal. Trying hard, but no harmony. Very grippy tannins. (JR)
