2018 Bourgogne Chardonnay Le Vieux Clos

The 2018 Bourgogne Blanc Le Vieux Clos is showing well, delivering a pretty bouquet of citrus oil, peach, nutmeg and freshly baked bread, followed by a medium to full-bodied, textural palate that's true to Carillon's gourmand style but brighter and livelier than his regular Bourgogne Chardonnay. Carillon largely reserves this cuvée for French restaurant, but it is worth trying if readers have the opportunity.
