Note di degustazione
Dark purplish crimson. Sweet, slightly coconut notes on the nose. Very exotic and rich and sweet though does it really have anything to do with Amoureuses? A bit too aggressive and sweet and alcoholic – not enough really lively fruity core. A bit of a let-down for completely different reasons from the 2004, which was also a let-down. (JR)

Good deep red. Dark raspberry and violet on the nose; fresher than the Cras. Dense and round but juicy, with rather soft acidity. In fact, this is downright full and rich for Amoureuses, in the style of the year. Happily, it avoids coming off as heavy. Distinctly sturdy wine but with no rough edges.
There are, sadly, only 4 barrels (less than 100 cases) of the fabulous 2003 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses. Sporting a nose of unreal spiciness, this powerful, sultry effort explodes on the palate, unleashing waves of licorice, chocolate, and candied black cherries. This ample, mouth-filling beauty has excellent focus, enormous amounts of fruit, outstanding purity, and loads of exquisitely ripe tannin. Projected maturity: 2007-2017.
