Nicely knit and quite dramatic for a Bourgogne Rouge. You wouldn’t go wrong with this, a wine that should give flashy pleasure. Ripe but not excessively sweet. (QGV) 16.5/20 Points

The 2018 Bourgogne Grand Chaillots is a mix of Chambolle-Musigny and Nuits Saint-Georges fruit, and it had been racked two weeks prior to my visit in December. It has a pretty raspberry and cranberry bouquet, floral in style, with subtle vanilla notes emerging with time; you cannot detect the 20% whole bunch. The medium-bodied palate offers sappy red fruit, and the whole bunch lends freshness and a subtle pepperiness toward the finish. Very fine.
