The 2018 Rully Village Rouge offers uncomplicated raspberry and cranberry scents on the slightly rustic nose. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, revealing veins of blue fruit and making a soft landing on the finish. Enjoy over the next three to five years.

Cask sample. Mid to deep cherry red. Spicy and ripe dark-red fruit. Hint of damsons. Ripe and lightly chewy on the palate but still has decent freshness on the finish. Smooth, gentle but well balanced for early drinking. Juicy and sweet fruited on the finish. (JH)
