Note di degustazione
Made by Jean-Luc Thunevin, the 2015 Château Bellevue De Tayac is another solid wine in the vintage. Offering perfumed notes of rose garden, strawberries, cherries and exotic flowers, it’s medium-bodied, supple and elegant on the palate, with silky tannin. I’d happily drink bottles over the coming decade.

Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois annual tasting, the 2015 Bellevue de Tayac has a fleshy, red berry-scented bouquet with touches of potpourri, generous and nicely defined. The palate is sweet and rather oaky on the entry, just a touch of cocoa infusing the red fruit toward the finish. I feel that this is just over-cooked a bit in the winery. Tasted September 2017.
70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot. Tremendous fruit complexity and oak spice on the nose and palate, with firm but fine tannin and great persistence. Superb quality fruit sets this apart, because it has a ready, complex flavour range complemented by canny oak influence. (RH)
