Note di degustazione
Full bottle 1,307 g. From a mix of lieux dits across the appellation, mostly in the middle of the village, on a mixture of soils: La Platière, Les Crais, Charreux and Champerrier. Roty has quite a following. Aeration is recommended. Transparent garnet. This wine is already fairly evolved with sweetness and a light animal note. Is that a hint of salami ...? There is just a little hole in the mid palate and the finish is pretty drying. Food needed! But it's true to the village. And on the second night it had really improved with some sweet fruit, interest and length. (JR)

The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Village reveals inviting aromas of cassis, black tea, sweet spices, licorice and peonies. Medium to full-bodied, supple and lively, with melting tannins and an ample core of fruit, it concludes with a saline finish. The charm and immediacy of the vintage is on full display.
The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Village is quite rich on the nose, offering small dark cherries mixed with subtle black pudding/ pain d’épices aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, nice structure and a savory, black-pepper-tinged finish. A structured Gevrey Village that will need 4–5 years in bottle.
