Tasted blind. Deep ruby colour. Spicy, some intrigue and vibrancy on both nose and palate. Some spiced plum, with grippy, sappy cedar flavour. Bright, with lively acids lifting the finish. Good energy. (TP)
The 2017 Tronquoy-Lalande is soft, easygoing and quite supple - all qualities that make it an excellent choice for drinking over the next handful of years. This Merlot-based Saint-Estèphe is all about elegance, refinement and class. The 2017 remains quite laid back in style, but it is a very pretty wine with impeccable balance and tons of sheer appeal.

This 30-hectare estate in Saint-Estèphe is only classified as a Cru Bourgeois yet its terroir has long been prized. Now part of the same stable as the illustrious Ch. Montrose, there has been significant investment here, with rising quality and wines that now offer excellent value.
