2019 Chambolle Musigny Vieilles Vignes

The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes contains 80% whole bunches this year. It shows a little sur-maturité on the nose with touches of tinned prune and California raisin tincturing the black fruit. The palate is more balanced with a sweet core of candied black cherry fruit intermixed with cracked black pepper and clove. That nose just needs to forage a little more restraint by the time it is bottled and then it will merit a higher score.
