This is recognisably Morey on the nose but sort of through a net curtain, meaning not the most dramatically obvious. But it's beautifully composed and a real triumph of balance until the slightly dry finish. Classy and admirably long and expressive for the price. Manages not to be as aggressively sweet as some 2019 reds. I wish I could have tasted at this domaine – being reconstructed – during my visit to Burgundy in October 2020. GV (JR)
