Quite floral in style but missing the same degree of complexity, the 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Champeaux 1er Cru feels a little disjointed compared to its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. A silver bead of acidity maintains freshness and tension, and I applaud the elegance on the finish.
