Aged completely in foudre, the 2009 Telegramme Chateauneuf du Pape exhibits lots of kirsch, damp earth and spice box notes in its medium to full-bodied, endearing, open-knit, charming personality. The 2009 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf-du-Pape Télégramme is 100% Grenache in ’09 and comes from vines averaging 25-years in age. Showing classic aromas of red fruits, spice, garriuge, and some meaty nuances, the wine is medium+ bodied on the palate and possesses a smooth, polished texture, clean fruit, and an oyster shell-like minerality that comes out on the finish. This delicious, easygoing red should be consumed over the coming 5-8 years.

Bright red. Fresh red fruits, violet and minerals on the pungent nose. Suave and understated in the mouth, offering lively cut and pure redcurrant and raspberry flavors. Packs a good punch but this wine is quite feminine in style. Balanced and harmonious Chateauneuf, finishing with good spicy length and silky tannins.
