Note di degustazione
(bottled in March of 2012): Good bright, deep red with ruby tones. Vibrant aromas of black fruits, licorice and mint. Concentrated and powerful, with firm acidity giving punch to the primary dark berry and salty mineral flavors. Finishes with broad, dusty tannins and strong mineral persistence. This is excellent.

NB vintage. Rich and round. Very spicy – almost cinnamon. Dry finish but lots of substance. (JR)
Deep red-ruby. Black fruits and musky espresso perked up by pungent minerality. Sweet, fine-grained and deep, with the element of smoky minerality carrying through on the palate. Essentially a gently styled 2010 offering an enticing combination of brisk berry fruit and saline soil tones. The slowly mounting finish displays suave tannins.
Very dark. Broad and mossy and dramatic. Quite big and even a bit brutal. Savage. Lot of acidity. A wine that gives a bit of a fight. Scratchy, quite dry finish. Their policy is to lower the proportion of new casks, down to half at most. There is always a bit of brûlée on this fruit even before it goes into oak. Needs quite a bit of time. (JR)
